Tacklebar Football Brought to the Brainerd Lakes Area
There's a new alternative to Tackle football other than flag football. That new variation is called Tacklebar Football.
With the future of football very much in doubt due to safety concerns that have arisen, Tacklebar technology teaches the proper way to wrap up with your head up helping avoid injuries for youth football players. The Tacklebar is a belt worn around the waist of a padded football player and on the back of the belt are these two bars sticking out for a defender to pull. The statistics will soon be out showing how much safer Tacklebar Football is than Flag Football
This November 10th at the Brainerd YMCA there will be a Youth Football Seminar. At this seminar the Tacklebar gear and information will be explained to youth football players and their parents. The camp is open to those from Kindergarten through 6th Grade in these time slots. The K-2nd Grade session is 1 pm - 2 pm, 3rd and 4th Graders have their session from 2 pm - 3 pm, and the 5th and 6th Grade session runs from 3 pm - 4 pm.
