New Walleye Regulations on Mille Lacs Lake

Starting in May, anglers on Mille Lacs Lake will be able to keep walleye during the open water fishing season. This is the first time anglers will be able to keep walleye since 2015. Anglers will be able to keep one walleye between 21 and 23 inches or one walleye over 28 inches from Saturday May 11 through Friday, May 31.

There will also be night closures on walleye for the 2019 season starting at 10pm to 6am May 13 through Nov. 30. Another regulation on Mille Lacs for 2019 is that there will be catch and release for walleye beginning June 1.
