Governor orders flags at half-staff for Officer Barron
Minnesota Governor Tim Walz on Wednesday announced that all state and federal buildings in the State of Minnesota are to be flown at half-staff from sunrise to sunset today in honor and remembrance of Red Lake Conservation Officer Shannon Barron.
Officer Barron died in the line of duty on Sunday, July 7th after suffering a medical emergency while responding to a call. Barron had been a Red Lake Conservation Officer since 2000 and served 23 years with the Red Lake Department of Public Safety.
A celebration of life service for Officer Barron will be held today at the Humanities Center in Red Lake.
