Central Lakes College "Cultural Thursday" spotlight on Deaf culture
Central Lakes College in Brainerd is inviting the community to attend their Cultural Thursday program for the month of December. “Cultural Thursday: A Crash Course in Deaf Culture” is free and open to the public for Thursday, December 5th at noon in the Chalberg Theater on the CLC Brainerd Campus.
Lead presenter will be Emily Smith-Lundberg, who serves a deaf mentor for the Minnesota Lifetrack Deaf and Hard of Hearing - Family Services. She also founded and is director for Dreams and Inspirations - Deaf and Hard of Hearing Camps & Retreats and is co-director of Camp Sertoma, a youth camp for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Camp at Confidence Learning Center. Smith-Lundberg formerly served as a governor-appointed board member of the Minnesota Commission of Deaf, DeafBlind, and Hard of Hearing Minnesotans.
