Aitkin County Board Meeting, Budget Hearing on Tuesday

The Aitkin County Board of Commissioners is set for a lengthy evening Tuesday night with their regular board meeting followed by the annual Budget Hearing, taking place at Aitkin City Hall.

For the regular board meeting, Commissioners will look for approval of Fire Protection Agreements for Ball Bluff and McGrath, a Resolution for Designating Annual Polling Places, and Consumption & Display Permit and 3.2 On Sale Malt Liquor License for 202 Tavern in McGregor. 

Soil and Water Conservation District Manager Steve Hughes will discuss with Commissioners on the topic of the Snake River Watershed Policy Committee. Community Corrections Director Kami Genz will be seeking approval of a Community Corrections Comp Plan and Grant. County Administrator Jessica Seibert will open discussion for 2020 Appropriations & Dues, while also reviewing the 2020 Budget and give her Administrator Updates.

The Budget Hearing will consist of County Administrator Jessica Seibert’s presentation of the budget for the public. The Board will receive public comment and at the December 17th meeting, the Board will adopt the final property tax levy.

The Aitkin County Board of Commissioners will meet Tuesday, starting at 4:30pm at Aitkin County Hall.
