Aitkin Public Library closed, still offering services

The Aitkin Public Library knew their best interest was in the hands of their patrons when they closed regular operations last week. East Central Regional Library Aitkin Branch manager Mandie Krueger informed us of the Library’s decision to close during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Once the decision came to close the 14 libraries, informing the public came in multiple parts.

All East Central Regional Library locations are closed until further notice. For those currently with books checked out…

Internet access is still available to those who depend on it.

With the libraries closed, online library cards can be obtained to access the catalog.

To request an online library card, stay up-to-date of potential re-open dates for each location, and find important COVID-19 links, at www.ecrlib.org
