(Hill City, MN) --- The Hill City School Board continued to review their plans for the 2020-21 school year at their regular meeting Monday night.
In our latest conversation with Hill City Schools Superintendent Pat Rendle, he discussed with us the District’s plans that involved more emphasis around the hybrid model of in-school and distance learning.
Even as Governor Tim Walz laid out his decision to go with a district-by-district basis for the start of the year, many factors still remain for Hill City and Northland Schools.
At the Board meeting, Itasca Community College Provost Bart Johnson spoke about the College Entrance & Restructure of the Minnesota State System.
The School Board approved the Business Manager two-year agreement beginning July 1st, 2020 through June 2022 and the hiring of Cassandra DeLung as a Medical Careers Teacher for the 2020-21 school year. Approval was given to designate Waste Management for garbage hauling, Lakes Gas as propane supplier, and Lange’s Nursery and Landscaping for Snowplowing. The Board also accepted the resignation of Angela Klennert as assistant volleyball coach while approving the Long Term Facilities Maintenance Plan for Fiscal Year 2022.
The Hill City School Board is next scheduled to meet on Monday, August 24th at 6pm from the Hill City School Community Room.
