McGregor School Board reviews personnel changes, COVID-19 updates

(McGregor, MN) --- The McGregor Public School Board held a special session Monday night from the McGregor School Auditorium to review personnel changes and COVID-19 updates.
The Board approved the hirings of Robin Hawkinson as a long-term substitute, Ken Vork as a long-term Band teacher substitute, Judy Berg, Joe Simenstad, Danielle Johnson, and Cheryl Meld. The resignation of Kevin Huseth, and medical leaves for Russell Sorenson and Bruce Rengo were also approved by the Board.
First review of Policy 522, Title IX Sex Nondiscrimination Policy, Grievance Procedure and Process was spoken on by Board members.
McGregor Superintendent Brad Johnson and Board Chair Larry Doten. Superintendent Johnson also updated the Board on the first week of school.
Superintendent Johnson also provided a District update concerning COVID-19.
The Board also approved the Fresh Fruit and Veggie snack program for Kindergarten through 3rd Grade for the 2020-21 school year. The McGregor School Board will have their next regular Board meeting on Monday, September 21st at 6pm.
