Aitkin City Council meets May 18th

The Aitkin City Council will be holding their regular meeting Monday evening from the Aitkin Public Library at 6pm.

The Council will look to approve a special event permit from Aitkin United Methodist Church for outdoor drive-up worship services beginning Sunday, May 24th and every week after that. 

Aitkin Mayor Gary Tibbits will discuss with the Council a letter drafted by the Iron Range Mayors from Range Association of Municipalities and Schools (RAMS) that will be sent to Governor Tim Walz.

Old Business will include an update on the 2020 Fireworks displays and a proposal of a dog park in Aitkin City Park. 

The Council will also touch on New Business of a Community Access Channel and reviewing and selecting a candidate for the new City Administrator position.

The Aitkin City Council meets at 6pm from the Community Room of the Aitkin Public Library.
